EOLIA RENOVABLES SELL 2 PARKS IN MEXICO TO EDF BY €78 MILLION.
The VC/PE firm Eolia Renovables has sold two wind farms located in Mexico to a subsidiary of France's EDF Energies Nouvelles, amounting to €78 million. It has been agreed to pay €59 million in cash, already paid, and the rest depends on the evolution of the project development.
The sold parks are Eoliatec del Istmo and Eoliatec del Pacifico, with a 324 megawatts capacity, being acquired by Eolia in 2007. Since then, Eolia Renovables has completed its transition and signed several energy purchase agreements with international companies.
