GENOMA ESPAÑA INVESTS €1 MILLION IN THE PROJECT TO DECIPHER TOMATO´S DNA SEQUENCE.
An international researchers’ consortium has deciphered the complete DNA sequence of the tomato. The research, which has taken eight years of work by over 300 scientists from 13 countries, occupies today the cover of the journal Nature, and offers researchers a high-resolution map of this genes.
Spanish research groups have taken part in this international consortium for the DNA sequencing of the tomato through a Genoma España project.
