THESAN CAPITAL ACQUIRES FORMULA 1 TEAM HISPANIA.

The private equity firm Thesan Capital has acquired the businessman José Ramón Carabante most of the capital of Hispania investment group, the main shareholder of Hipania Racing, owner of the only license in Spain in Formula 1.

The firm specializes in investing in companies in difficulty (turnaround) enters into a sector that considers present a major growth prospects in order to strengthen the group’s strategic management.

The private equity firm seeks to lead the development of Hispania Racing in the coming years, with its current team and management.

Thus, plans to develop and seek opportunities for optimizing and improving the performance of the team in future seasons.

Hispania Racing, until now led by businessman José Ramón Carabante, became in March 2010 in the first Spanish team in history to participate in the Formula 1 World Championship. After 19 races, the Spanish team was able to finish the constructors' championship in the eleventh position.
