Q DIAGNÓSTICA, OWNED BY MERCAPITAL, LAST 55% PURCHASE OF CRC CORPORACIÓ SANITÁRIA.
Q Diagnóstica, the firm owned by private equity firm Mercapital, has an option to claim 55% stake in CRC Corporació Sanitària.
CRC Corporació Sanitària, actually in difficulties due the cuts in public health budget, has hired a firm specializing in restructuring at the request of Mercapital to make a turnover in the company and raise funds to finance growth. Depending on the milestones achieved by the restructuring team, Q Diagnostica could materialize its entry in the shareholding.
Within a month must be reached a final agreement. If Q Diagnóstica decide not to purchase, it would lose the deposit.
Mercapital entered the diagnostic imaging business with the purchase of Recoletas in 2009, renamed Q Diagnóstica. The group has 33 diagnostic imaging centers in Spain, and from the entry of the private equity firm, has intensified the growth in Spain and has become international with the landing in Brazil.
