LA CAIXA INVESTS €50,000 IN SEZION, THE STARTUP ACCELERATED BY WAYRA.

Sezion, the Spanish startup accelerated by Wayra España, has closed a capital increase agreement through Caixa Capital Micro fund amounting €50,000 to continue its expansion and growth plans.

This investment, carried out through a convertible loan instrument, is provided through the global agreement signed by both institutions earlier this year to boost the technological entrepreneurial ecosystem in Spain (see news).

Sezion has taken part in the last "Demo Day Madrid 2012" with the rest of startups accelerated by Wayra at the Madrid Academy. During the meeting, attended by many representatives of local and international investment community, the team formed by Josías De La Espada, Jonathan Bertuzzi, Harán Lerma and Roberto Escribano, showed the progress made during the acceleration period and also provided a detailed report on its next growth stages, agreements and business model.

Entrepreneurs, in the middle of a funding round, also highlighted by its participation in several domestic and international competitions most important, among them Seedcamp Tel Aviv (Israel) and EmprendedorXXI, promoted by "la Caixa" and ENISA (Andalusia).
